Within the poultry industry, both allied and commercial producers are continuously adapting to meet the pressing needs of consumers. At APR we understand the need for industry-relevant research to provide findings to tackle these challenges. Established in 2020, APR is located in North Carolina, United States. Covering 113 acres, the independent contract research facility is available to the global poultry industry. APR is a state-of-the-art poultry research facility that aims to perform high-quality, unbiased and reliable studies. We understand the importance of scientifically valid research to be conducted in a way that delivers scientifically valid results, based on sound experimental design, including adequate numbers of animals and treatment group replicates.
Our mission:
To deliver science service to the broiler and turkey industries
APR was created to offer customers a unique place to explore new concepts and applications and gaining confidential and accurate data. You may book your research project “all inclusive” or deliver your own selected day old chicks, feeds, water treatments and we take care of the rest. Our renowned statistician will process the data or you can use your own resources.
Our location is close to the poultry hub of North America. We have excellent opportunities in NC State University or other well known universities and institutions across the broiler belt of the United States.
APR offers a great opportunity for feed and feed additives companies
to develop their trials and generate much needed data and information
for the U.S. poultry market.

Our staff
With over 3 decades of experience in the poultry industry and academia, our team of experts provide a wealth of knowledge in poultry nutrition, veterinary medicine and gut health.
Our approach to animal welfare
Our trained staff follows strict scientific ethics and animal welfare principles; during the execution of the contracted research project. We are all farmers and fully understand how important it is to guarantee the well-being of the animal under our responsibility. We believe that animal welfare is a critical component of the scientific validity of any project. If the animals are not maintained and managed under appropriate conditions, research results will be affected and consequently, cannot be trusted.

The recently renovated APR facility has been equipped with state-of-the-art industry installations for accurate results and mimic environmental settings found in practical poultry production. Within our facilities, we offer fully customized trials, through a variety of barns and floor pen configurations to meet your research needs as well as your budget.
